Channel Assignment via Fast Zeta Transform
نویسندگان
چکیده
We show an O∗((l + 1)n)-time algorithm for the channel assignment problem, where l is the maximum edge weight. This improves on the previous O∗((l + 2)n)-time algorithm by Kral [4], as well as algorithms for important special cases, like L(2, 1)-labelling. For the latter problem, our algorithm works in O∗(3n) time. The progress is achieved by applying the fast zeta transform in combination with the inclusion-exclusion principle.

Fast heuristics for the frequency channel assignment problem in multi-hop wireless networks
Communication links connect pairs of wireless nodes in a wireless network. Links can interfere with each other due to their proximity and transmission power if they use the same frequency channel. Given that a frequency channel is the most important and scarce resource in a wireless network, we wish to minimize the total number of different frequency channels used. We can assign the same channe...
متن کاملFast Fourier Transforms for Finite Inverse Semigroups
We extend the theory of fast Fourier transforms on finite groups to finite inverse semigroups. We use a general method for constructing the irreducible representations of a finite inverse semigroup to reduce the problem of computing its Fourier transform to the problems of computing Fourier transforms on its maximal subgroups and a fast zeta transform on its poset structure. We then exhibit exp...
متن کاملTree-based channel assignment schemes for multi-channel wireless sensor networks
Many sensor node platforms used for establishing wireless sensor networks (WSNs) can support multiple radio channels for wireless communication. Therefore, rather than using a single radio channel for whole network, multiple channels can be utilized in a sensor network simultaneously to decrease overall network interference, which may help increase the aggregate network throughput and decrease ...
متن کاملMultiple description transform coded transmission over OFDM broadcast channels
We consider image transmission using multiple description transform coding (MDTC) over orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) wireless broadcast channels, where the system may not have any feedback on channel gains. We investigate the redundancy allocation in MDTC–OFDM system, physical layer frequency diversity, and decoding strategies to maximize the quality of reconstruction. Via ma...
متن کاملAn Experimental Study on Blinking and Eye Movement Detection via EEG Signals for Human-Robot Interaction Purposes Based on a Spherical 2-DOF Parallel Robot
Blinking and eye movement are one of the most important abilities that most people have, even people with spinal cord problem. By using this ability these people could handle some of their activities such as moving their wheelchair without the help of others. One of the most important fields in Human-Robot Interaction is the development of artificial limbs working with brain signals. The purpos...
